We received over 25% of the vote against a 16 year incumbent!
This outstanding accomplishment by Laura affirms that politics as usual is hurting Illinois taxpayers.  Illinoisians are learning the truth and voting for change.

Laura's success in local education reform and now Illinois representation is bringing change.  The future looks bright for more change to come.

Absolute Truth

A 16 year incumbent has proven he is not capable of changing Illinois....he is not the solution...he is part of the historical problem.

Even if you voted for Jim Durkin in the past, he has proven he is not capable of change.

 Laura's Daily Thought

 February 24, 2012

Being a mother of three children ages 23, 11, and 8. I have a very strong feelings about education. I believe every child needs and deserves a quality education. Education is the foundation that will keep our country successful.

After speaking today with an individual in the education system, I felt it was vital to share what I learned. Public school in Illinois are required to issue ISAT tests (Illinois Standard Achievement Test). And the parents receive the test results for that test. Many school districts also purchase some sort of additional testing such as MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) and the parents will receive a copy of those test results.

But what most parents do not realize is that public schools also administer other tests that are used for internal purposes. These tests can be Dibels (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills)
and Maze (Standard Reading Comprehension Assessment Passages) for example just to name a few. But since the staff feel that these tests are for internal purposes parents do not receive copies of the results automatically. Parents have the rights to request copies of all tests taken by their children.

For those of you who already know this great. There are a lot of parents who do not know how many tests or what tests their children take at school. The purpose of my comments today is to make parents aware of these internal tests. And that you have a right to request copies of the results.

Parents should be given copies of them automatically this way everyone is working together to do what's right for each individual child.

 Practice ISAT Test's for 3rd - 8th Grade.

A lifelong Illinois resident, Laura Reigle combines a wealth of experience as an advocate for education reform, community leadership, fiscal accountability and a Republican Reformer to serve 82nd District families and taxpayers.

She is a constitutionalist believing the national and state constitutions are not living changeable documents but foundational to limiting government.

Given her success in bringing real change to Elementary and High School districts Laura has spearheaded efforts advancing accountability and transparency.

She believes free markets on a fair playing field are best for the consumer and the state.

Parents, Teachers, Board of Education Members, and Students realize that Laura has a heart for transparency and education and still means business when it comes to reform.

She is fearless in using government requirements to secure information not easily available to the public.

Having taken on several responsibilities on her own to bring change, Laura consistently works to bring fiscal clarity and responsibility to reality.

Laura is known for bringing change to irresponsible education districts. Because of these efforts she has been asked by many people to run for the 82nd District seat to bring fiscal responsibility to the State of Illinois.

Laura has a proven reputation of representing the taxpayers on what matters to them.

Recognized by her peers as one of the most effective change makers in local education, Laura will make a big difference in Illinois government.
